Payments on Ubuntu Connect: At Ubuntu Connect, we strive to make the payment process simple, secure, and transparent for both freelancers and employers. Below is everything you need to know about how payments work on our platform.

1. Payment Process

Employer Payment: Employers are required to pay the agreed-upon job fee upfront into the Ubuntu Connect platform wallet. This payment is securely held until the job is completed and approved.
Freelancer Payment: Once the job is completed and approved by the employer, the funds are released to the freelancer's account.

2. Fees and Charges

Subscription Fees: Freelancers can choose from three subscription plans: $5 for 3 months, $12 for 6 months, and $15 for a year.
Transaction Fees: Both freelancers and employers are subject to a 3.5% transaction fee on the total job amount.
Platform Fees: Freelancers are charged a 6.5% platform fee per job completed.

3. Payment Methods

We accept a variety of payment methods to ensure convenience:
Credit/Debit Cards: Major credit and debit cards are accepted for both subscriptions and payments.
Digital Wallets: Supported digital wallets can be used for payments and withdrawals.

Freelancers can withdraw their earnings directly to their bank account or digital wallet once the funds are available. The payout processing time may vary depending on the chosen method.
