UBUNTU CONNECT: REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Subscription Cancellation:

• Freelancers and Employers can cancel their subscriptions at any time from their account settings.
• Cancellations made before the subscription renewal date will not be charged for the next billing cycle.
• Access to the platform and its features will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Refund Policy:

• Subscriptions: We offer a full refund if a cancellation request is made within 48 hours of the initial subscription or renewal. After this period, no refunds will be provided.
• Service Fees: Transaction and platform fees (3.9% and 10% for freelancers) are non-refundable once the service has commenced or a job has been assigned to a freelancer.
• Employer Fees: The 3.9% transaction fee paid by employers is also non-refundable once a project is initiated.

Project Cancellations and Disputes:

• Before Project Start: Employers can request a full refund before the freelancer begins work. In this case, all paid amounts will be refunded minus any non-refundable transaction fees.
• During the Project: If a project is canceled midway due to disagreements or non-performance, Ubuntu Connect will mediate the dispute. Refunds may be issued based on the mediation outcome in 15-30 days, but platform fees remain non-refundable.

Short Courses and STEAME Recruitment:

• Fees for short courses are non-refundable after the course start date. Refund requests made before the course begins will be processed minus a 15% administrative fee between 15-30 days.
• For STEAME recruitment services, refunds will be evaluated case-by-case, depending on the contract terms with partner companies 15-30 days turnaround time.
